A huge round of applause and congratulations are in order from everybody on our team here at EarthWise Pet Marysville to everybody over at EarthWise Pet HQ on winning this prestigious award, bestowed upon us by Pet Business, a leading pet industry publication.

Spearheaded by CEO Michael Seitz, the EarthWise Pet Franchise has continued to grow even as retailers across the world and across every industry suffered through the COVID-19 pandemic. As COVID-19 was just beginning to spread, EarthWise Pet was just putting the finishing touches on a universal e-Commerce platform for its stores, providing them with the capabilities to not just survive through the pandemic but continue their own growth.

According to Mark Kalaygian, publishing director and editor-in-chief of Pet Business, “Michael Seitz and his team have built EarthWise Pet into one of the country’s leading pet retail and service chains by taking the intimacy and passion of a local, owner-operated business and combining it with the vision and resources of a centralized organization made up of pet retail experts. Because of this balance, EarthWise Pet has been able to more than double in size over the past four years and serves as a great example of what neighborhood pet stores can accomplish with the right mix of products, marketing strategies and customer engagement.”

What does this mean to EarthWise Pet Marysville? We caught up with Daniel Crisologo, owner of EarthWise Pet Marysville. 

On EarthWise Pet winning Retailer of the Year 2021, Daniel was even more excited about the future than he normally is!

"We're just so pleased for Mike, Jorge, Kim, Daniel, and everybody else that has helped EarthWise Pet get to where it is today. We're so excited to be a part of this incredible team."

Dan, who joined the EarthWise Pet Franchise family in late 2019, admits his road to become a local pet supplies store owner has not always been smooth, but it has been rewarding. "Opening a store a few months before COVID-19 began was like a punch in the face and wasn't something we, or anybody really, expected. But the support from the EarthWise team has been amazing, as well as the support from our local Marysville community. Our customers here in Marysville have been great - they've been understanding when supply chains have slowed down or failed, they've been generous when people have been in need, they've been patient when we've been trying to find our feet."

So, what's next for Dan and EarthWise Pet Marysville, and what does winning Retailer of the Year mean to Marysville?

Dan replied that "winning Retailer of the Year is great for us and great for our customers. They know that we're here to provide the best pet supplies and products for their pets. We have some of the best dog grooming services in Marysville and our team of pet nutritionists are enthusiastic about helping our Marysville community. We're excited to continue to grow our community of pets and pet parents in Marysville and if you ever have any questions or concerns don't be a stranger!
